Potlatch
Mountie Matte is an excellent laser paper if you need to print color
photographs.
Be
sure not to use inkjet paper in a laser printer. Inkjet
paper has a prepared surface that may damage the insides of
your laser printer. If you need to print on both sides (called
duplexing) then you have to have a duplex unit included.
If you attempt to print on both sides without a duplex unit the
toner from the first side will melt off and smear all over the insides
when reheated. This may damage the insides of your printer and require
costly replacements.
This
is why we recommend that people don't buy cheap laser printers (or
paper) at OfficeDepot or other stores that sell generic products.
Mountie
Matte has a cream shade that enhances the color images. We much
prefer the heavier stock, it adds substance to any publication,
manual, or workbook. Once we recognized the qualities of Mountie
Matte, we checked out what else Potlatch had to offer and found
Potlatch McCoy, which we will be testing soon.
In
the meantime, Potlatch papers are available from Mac Papers.
