If
you line up ten identical scanners, two factors condition the outcome
of the scan: the quality of the software and the experience and
eye of the scanner operator
Linocolor
is the software which has the best reputation, based on the reviews
in the trade press. Binuscan is the other scanner software whose
name pops up the most frequently (available with or sold as optional
by UMAX). Some Linocolor software is also available for some models
of Umax scanners.
