Panorama
Photography
The
360-degree demand is so great that Apple developed software
to stitch together overlapping photographs to create a semblance of
a 360-degree view. Live Picture has also developed products to create
360-degree images.
But
there is really no need to jerry-rig a panorama. Plenty of seamless
panorama cameras exist, in 35mm, 220 roll film, and even 4x5"
format. Few reviews of Virtual
Reality photography have mentioned seamless panoramas since
their authors either do not know about this special dedicated panorama
equipment or they presume that the natural way to create a panorama
is to do overlapping 35mm snapshots.
Since
FLAAR at BCC has decades of experience in architectural photography
it was natural that we would enter the speciality of panorama photography.
Our arsenal of equipment now has the two most sophisticated seamless
panorama systems available, a 70mm system and a new digital development
in 4x5 format by Better
Light.
