Complete
directory, filled with pertinent links, to the best digital imaging
equipment in the world.
Gateway
to links and information on Rolleiflex (Rollei) cameras, the innovative
6 x 6 cm medium format camera system featuring Schneider lenses
as an alternative for Zeiss lenses.
FLAAR
is gradually opening up several new sections devoted to Rollei medium
format cameras. We will have one section for traditional photography
(medium format film) and another section for using the Rollei for
digital photography (on our sister site,
www.digital-photography.org).
Since
we currently manage over 300 pages on four sites and are opening
up four new sites in June (with more than 100 pages) it may take
a while, but check back later this year and next year. FLAAR has
been doing professional photography for decades and we intend to
enter the new millennium with even more reviews of photographic
equipment.
Rolleiflex
is the traditional twin-lens camera; we will focus on the newer
single lens reflex Rollei 6008 Integral, Rollei 6001 Pro, and Rollei
6003 Pro. Zeiss lenses fit these cameras but we will focus on the
Schneider
alternatives. Although Schneider is best known for their superb
lenses for 4x5 format, Schneider also makes lenses for medium format.
Rolleiflex
is the correct German spelling, but in the typical American manner
this has been reduced to Rolliflex or even Rollaflex.
