Epson
Stylus 5500 printer
 The Epson 5500 desktop inkjet printer produces museum-quality output. We know since the FLAAR facility is used to produce prints for two museums on our campus.
The
HP 20ps has bright dye inks and is for proofing. The Epson 5500
has a full gamut but pigmented ink for lightfast durability. Canon
does not make any desktop printer with lightfast pigmented ink.
Neither Kodak nor Encad make a printer of this class either.
So if you are a professional photographer, a pro-sumer, or a hobby photographer, the Epson Stylus 5500 is an inkjet printer worthy of your serious consideration. However be careful about getting sophisticated color equipment of this nature from some P.O. Box address on the Internet. They are unable to answer your questions on color management or ICC color profiles later on.
